  • Morris feels pretty good about restricting Pakistan to this total. Reckons they got away in the end but they would have taken this total at the beginning. Believes that the visitors are number 1 in the world in T20Is for a reason and thus, they can never rule them out and knows that the hosts have to be constantly on the money. In the end, he leaves by saying that it is not an easy ground to defend scores and that they (South Africa) should win if they bat well.
  • South Africa won't be too unhappy with the score because it is a chaseable one. After going for runs in the Powerplay, they fought their way back in. Beuran Hendricks stood out with his career best of 4/14. Morris picked up a brace while Sipamla and Phehlukwayo got a wicket each but went for runs. So, South Africa have a great chance to clean sweep Pakistan if they bat well. Join us in a bit for the chase. Meanwhile, Chris Morris is down for an interview.
  • A fighting total from Pakistan. After losing their way, Shadab has ensured they have something on the board. The visitors started well when Babar and Fakhar gave them a head-start. Once that partnership broke, they kept losing wickets at regular intervals. The tourists needed someone to bat through but that didn't happen. Thanks to Asif and Shadab but mainly the latter at the end, the Men in Green get near the 170-run mark.
  • 19.6 SIX! Good way to finish the innings. Amazing shot from Shadab Khan. Short of a length delivery, Khan pulls it between mid-wicket and deep square leg for a biggie. Big over for Pakistan. 21 runs have come from it. The visitors would have got momentum with this and will believe the score is a fighting one now. SOUTH AFRICA WILL NEED 169 TO WIN.
  • 19.5 Length delivery on off, Khan looks to defend but gets a bottom edge on this one.
  • 19.5 WIDE! Bowls down the leg side, Khan looks to play a paddle sweep but misses it because it is out of reach for him.
  • 19.4 SIX! Second six of the over. Length delivery outside off, Shadab lofts this over long off for a biggie. This over is proving to be expensive.
  • 19.3 Full on middle, Khan drives it towards mid on for a single.
  • 19.2 SIX! What a cracking shot! Full on off, Shadab lofts this over extra cover for a biggie. Much needed one for Pakistan.
  • 19.1 Length delivery on middle, Khan plays it over the bowler towards mid off.
  • Andile Phehlukwayo will bowl the final over.
  • 18.6 Length ball in line of the stumps. Afridi blocks it out. Hendricks finishes with career best figures of 4-0-14-4 after conceding just 2 runs off the 19th over. 147/9
  • 18.5 Bouncer! Follows Afridi, who ducks under it.
  • 18.4 Played to the point region by the batsman. One run added to the total.
  • Shaheen Afridi is the last man to the crease.
  • 18.3 OUT! Finds the man again. Poor cricket from Amir. Just had to take the single to give Shadab the strike but goes for the big one and gets out first ball. Fuller ball around off, Amir slices it over but finds Rassen at deep point. He doesn't drop those and Pakistan lose their 9th wicket. They're in a danger of not facing the entire 20 overs here.
  • 18.2 Outside off, guided towards third man for one.
  • The new man in is Mohammad Amir.
  • 18.1 OUT! Soft dismissal and not good cricket. Fuller ball on middle. Faheem gives room and looks to loft it over the rope. Doesn't hit that with power and ends up chipping it to Miller at long on who takes a simple catch.
  • Beuran Hendricks to bowl the penultimate over.
  • 17.6 Length delivery on off, Ashraf cuts it towards point for a single. Morris finishes with figures of 4-0-27-2. 145/7
  • Shadab Khan is the new man in.
  • 17.5 OUT! Asif Ali departs! Crucial wicket for South Africa. Full on off, Ali goes for the big shot but does not get enough on it. The ball goes towards cover point fielder where Rassie van der Dussen takes a good catch under lights. The visitors are seven down and are losing their way.
  • 17.4 Length delivery on off, Ashraf cuts it towards point for a single. The fielder at deep point fumbles but the batsmen decide against the second.
  • 17.3 BEATEN! Good length delivery outside off, Ashraf looks to slog but misses it.
  • 17.2 Length delivery on middle, Ali flicks it towards the leg side for a single.
  • 17.1 SIX! HAMMERED IT AWAY! Full on middle, overpitched, in his zone. Ali lofts this over mid-wicket for a biggie. Good start to the 18th over.
  • Chris Morris to bowl the 18th over.

  • 16.5 Length delivery on middle, Ashraf flicks it towards mid-wicket for a run.
  • 16.4 Full outside off, Ali plays it over mid off. The batsmen take a single.
  • 16.3 Good length delivery outside off, Ali looks to go for the slog but misses it.
  • 16.2 Short delivery, Ashraf pulls it through mid-wicket for a single.
  • 16.1 Length delivery on off, Ali plays it towards covers for a single.
  • 16.1 WIDE! Bowls it down the leg side, Ali lets it go.
  • 16.1 WIDE! Bowls it wide outside off, Asif looks to cut but it was wide of him.
  • Faheem Ashraf is next to bat. Also, Andile Phehlukwayo to bowl another over.
  • 15.6 OUT! Bowled 'em! This shows what couple of singles and a dot ball can do. Off cutter on off, Imam goes across and looks to play at the wrong line. Doesn't read the cutter and misses it completely. The ball goes on to disturb the off pole. 129/6
  • 15.5 Yorker outside off, Imad gives room and does well to get bat on it but only back to the bowler.
  • 15.4 Fuller ball on middle and leg, Asif plays an on-drive to long on for one.
  • 15.3 Slower bouncer on the leg side. Wasim waits for it and then looks to pull but gets his off his gloves. The ball rolls towards the on side where they cross.
  • 15.2 FOUR! That's some strike. A fraction short on off, Imad gives room and smacks this over mid-wicket for a clean hit. It bounces before the ropes.
  • 15.1 Comes in from around the wicket and serves this on the leg side. Asif tucks it around the corner for one.
  • Beuran Hendricks is in for another spell.
  • 14.6 On middle and leg, Ali nudges it towards square leg for a single. Decent over for Pakistan. 11 runs came from it. 122/5
  • 14.5 Length delivery on off, Wasim plays it with soft hands to the side of the pitch on the offside and goes for a run. Morris runs to the ball quickly, collects it with one hand and goes for a direct hit at the keeper's end but misses it. Asif Ali was a goner had he hit the stumps. Very lucky there Pakistan!
  • 14.4 Length delivery on middle, Wasim works it towards the leg side.
  • 14.3 FOUR! This was even better. Full on middle, Wasim makes room, swings and hits it straight over the bowler for a boundary. Bit of a heated argument between Morris and Imad Wasim post that shot on the middle of the 22 yards.
  • 14.2 FOUR! What a shot. Length delivery on off, Wasim comes down the track and drives it through covers for a boundary. It was a full toss which was put away by the batsman.
  • 14.1 Length delivery on off, Asif looks to go big but gets a top edge. The fielder from third man and the keeper both went for the catch. It falls in no man's land. The batsmen take a run.
  • Chris Morris is into the attack.
  • 13.6 Outside off again, Asif gets it past backward point for one. Shamsi has finished his quota, 4-0-30-0. 111/5
  • 13.5 Googly outside off, Ali looks to cut it away but fails to make contact.
  • 13.4 Steers this to the on side to rotate strike.
  • 13.3 Punched off the back foot by Ali towards covers. The batsmen have run through for a single.
  • 13.2 SIX! Way back into the grandstand! Overpitched ball on off, Asif Ali steps out and smokes this away over long on for a monster hit.
  • 13.1 Leg spinner on the pads, flicked away through square leg for one.
  • 12.6 Length delivery on off, Wasim plays it towards point for a single. Another good over for the hosts. 101/5
  • 12.5 100 up for Pakistan. Length delivery on middle, Asif flicks it towards mid-wicket for a single.
  • 12.5 WIDE! Bowls a bumper, Ali does well to duck under it. Umpire gives it as a wide because it was way over the head of the batsman.
  • 12.5 WIDE! Short of a length delivery down leg, Ali looks to pull but misses it.
  • 12.4 Length delivery on middle, Wasim works it towards square leg for a single.
  • 12.3 Again on a length, Ali pushes it towards square leg for a single.
  • 12.2 Length delivery on middle, Wasim flicks it to the leg side for a run.
  • The new man in is Imad Wasim.
  • 12.1 OUT! Pakistan have pressed the panic button. Good length delivery on off, Talat makes room and looks to cut but Andile follows the southpaw. He lacks the room and thus, gets an outside edge which goes towards Klaasen who takes a comfortable catch. Half of the visitors' side is back in the hut now.

  • 11.3 On the pads, Ali flicks it towards mid-wicket for a single.
  • Asif Ali replaces Shoaib Malik.
  • 11.2 OUT! It is Shoaib Malik who is run out. This was suicidal from the visitors. Floated on leg, Malik pushes it to the leg side. Talat calls for the single and Malik responds. Hussain slipped while he was halfway down the wicket and turns his back on his partner. Shoaib gets caught in the middle of nowhere and Andile Phehlukwayo throws the ball calmly to Klaasen who whips the bails off. No way for the Pak skipper to get back. Both got stuck almost parellel to each other and hence the confusion regarding who was out. After many replays, it is the experienced Malik who has to make the long walk back. Big blow for the visitors.
  • Now then! Someone is out but we don't know who. It was a run out but we are waiting to see if Malik crossed past Talat when the bails were taken off.
  • 11.1 Floated on middle, Talat works it towards the leg side for a single.
  • 10.6 Played to the point region by the batsman. They pick up a single. 91/3
  • 10.5 Malik taps this through the off side and gets to the other end.
  • Hussain Talat walks in next.
  • 10.4 OUT! First wicket for Sipamla! Length ball outside off, Rizwan goes after it. Looks to cut it over cover-point but doesn't get the distance on it. Dala at the ropes takes an easy catch. Sipamla is delighted and South Africa get a timely breakthrough.

  • TOSS - South Africa won the toss and elected to bowl first.
  • Welcome to the final T20I of this three-match series between South Africa and Pakistan. The Proteas have sealed the series 2-0 and this game is a dead rubber. But that said, do not expect any pleasantries to be served by the hosts. They will look to whitewash the visitors 3-0. David Miller, the captain has been doing well winning both the matches as well as the Man of the Match award in both games. This must have given him lot of confidence, and the series being done already gives him an opportunity to give the bench a go. On the other hand, Pakistan will look to get a consolation victory to end what has been a disappointing tour. Changes are likely to be there for the visitors as well. Toss and team news to follow...

South Africa Vs Pakistan Live Score (T20) Ball by Ball Commentary

  • Blanked 3-0 in the Tests, pipped 3-2 in the ODIs and beaten 2-1 in the T20Is. The Pakistan team fought hard in the white ball leg but they head home without any silverware. South Africa would definitely be pleased with this performance and will be looking forward to the Tests at home against Sri Lanka coming up. Thus, a pretty long tour consisting all the formats comes to an end and we saw the visitors being outplayed. Hope you enjoyed the coverage as much as we enjoyed bringing it to you. Take care and cheers!
  • David Miller, the captain of the South African team is also the Man of the Series. He is happy that the Proteas came out and showed their class in all three formats. Says that he enjoyed captaining the side in the T20Is, and thanks his teammates for supporting him and helping him all the way. Applauds the people who got the chance and put their hand up to beat the number 1 side in the world. Reckons that the Pakistani bowling attack is one of the best in the world but it was great the way they played them and got to the victory. He now walks over to collect the trophy and calls over his teammates for the shutterbugs. Lots of smiles around and South Africa must be really pleased by the performance in all 3 formats in this long drawn-out tour.
  • Shadab Khan is the Man of the Match for his all-round performance tonight. Feels that it was a plan to just wait for the last over and then smash how much ever is possible in it. Mentions it was a great tour for them and a lovely learning curve for all of the youngsters. Reckons it was good to come out of the comfort zone of UAE and then bowl here where he did not find it so easy.
  • Shoaib Malik, Pakistan's captain is happy with the win and says that it is good that there are some smiling faces at the end of the night. Feels that they were good in the white ball leg of the tour but concedes that they need to be better in the crunch situations. Reckons that they could have won the series but feels that what is important is to learn from this and come back and do better if they are in the same position again. Praises Shaheen Afridi and mentions that he is talented but needs to continue learning and improve day by day. Laughs slightly when he is asked as to how Pakistan unearth fast bowlers all the time but mentions that it is good for his country, also puts a lot of praise on Babar Azam and Imam-ul-Haq as well. Continues to say that it was a good learning curve for them and mentions it is important to play well abroad. Signs off by congratulating the South African team for winning all 3 series.
  • South Africa were maybe complacent. Had a very bad Powerplay and then the pressure got the better of them. Miller, Rassie didn't find the gaps and left Morris with too much to do. Earlier on in the evening, the hosts had Pakistan well under control but a final burst from Shadab Khan ensured Pakistan get to 168. It proved to be the difference in the end. Stay tuned for the final presentation of the tour.
  • The visitors started well picking up two early wickets in the Powerplay. That pegged the hosts back. They then got the big wickets of Klaasen, Miller and Rassie at regular intervals stopping the flow of runs. Morris got to his maiden T20I fifty but was left with plenty to get in the end. Imad bowled 4 overs at a stretch and was brilliant. Amir got 3 while Shaheen gave him good company. All the bowlers got a wicket with Shadab and Ashraf bagging a brace.
  • What a win for Pakistan. They manage to comfortably by 27 runs in the end. After the first innings, majority thought that 168 was below par but they have bowled out of their skin and defended this target.
  • 19.6 A perfect yorker to end the match and the tour, kept out towards point by Morris. Afridi ends a super night for him with the ball having figures of 4-0-23-1 and Pakistan will be smiling at least with the result tonight. THEY WIN THIS GAME BY 27 RUNS BUT THE SERIES IS TAKEN BY SOUTH AFRICA 2-1.

  • 17.5 OUT! Dala holes out and South Africa look all but lost here. A length ball just outside off and Junior connects on his slog this time. It goes very high but not too far. • 16.5 The change of bats does not seem to have done anything. Another mistimed shot towards long on and this one goes on a bounce to the fielder. Single taken.
  • 16.4 Good yorker! Junior can just keep it out towards short fine and gets to the other end.
  • 16.3 Morris does not get this one on the middle of the bat as well. It goes to long on all along the ground for a single. Looks frustrated as he was running through. Signals for another bat.
  • 16.2 Quicker one on the middle stump line, Dala manages to play it to long on and gets to the other end.
